"Lysts on the Lake" Open Competitive Joust

Post by a'Plaisance, Ltd. »

a'Plaisance, Ltd. presents the Lysts on the Lake, Lone Star Open Competitive Jousting Tournament, April 29 - May 1, 2011.

Lysts on the Lake is generously hosted by award-winning computer game developer, entrepreneur, philanthropist and space explorer, Richard Garriott and is held on his private estate in Austin, Texas within the "Village of Castleton"... a picturesque, medieval inspired village located on the shores of Lake Austin.

The event is open to all qualified competitors and consists of three events:

• Skill at Arms
• Melee a' Cheval
• Joust a' Plaisance

Prizes will be awarded to:

• the winner of each individual event
• the competitor who displays the highest ideals of Chivalry
• the overall Tournament Champion

All entrants will compete as individuals and their scores will be used to determine the individual event winners, the overall Tournament Champion as well as go towards their individual International Jousting League rank (if affiliated).

So, we are looking for qualified competitors to take part in this inaugural medieval equestrian arts event and hope that you will be a part! There is quite a bit more information listed on our competitor information website at www.aplaisance.com (user name: joust password: lance) so please stop by, take a look and fill out the entry form.

Of course, if you have any questions, please feel free to post them to these lists and I will do my best to answer them.

I look forward to seeing you in April, 2011!
