Coat of plates instruction set available now.
Ok so I just finished it other then converting it to a pdf which I'll figure out and get done tonight.
The insruction set includes pictures and the date and location of the original. Pictures of my reproduction. Step by step pictures and instructions for shaping the plates. Patterns for the plates printable on a normal printer in sizes from 40"chest to 58" chest in 2" increments and instructions and a diagram explaining how to draft the pattern for the shell.
Also includes how to select materials.
Paypal $10 to thepurplesock@vianet.ca and you'll get it e-mailed to you.
Feel free to send more then $10 hopefully someone will post a review or feedback once some people have it. Tell anyone you think might want it. This is gonna be a test run. If this sells well I'll do more of these kind of things and set it up in a shopping cart. Feel free to make requests here. Also feel free to add any questions on anything that needs clarification and I'll update the instruction set.

Got mine too - just read it on the train to work. An excellent, easy to follow guide. If you can set a rivet you can follow this guide.
Well done matt. I'll be trying to talk some of the college members around here to buy a copy and I'll run a workshop.
Regards,
Columb

The küssnash coat of plates comes from küssnash Switzerland and is dated from the second quarter of the 14th century (1325-1350) and is located in the Swiss National museum in Zurich.
It really is appropriate for most of europe and most of the 14th century as coats of plates were in use although the design of the plates on this one are different then the others.
If you don't use paypal mailing cash would be fine. Doesn't make sense to spend $6 on a money order for $5. Pm me for my mailing address and include your e-mail address. Let me know when you've mailed it out and I'll e-mail the instructions. Then if the money gets here it gets here if it doesn't it doesn't. I'll have considered the transaction complete once I send the instructions.

Bumping this up. Sold some in the first two days but that's it. Pretty far off from enough to be willing to do more of these so hopefully more will sell.

Bumping this up in hopes that some more will sell. If enough of this one sell I'll be willing to do more but only 1/4 of the way to my minimum sales goal for that.

Hey Matt, can I offer you a bit of advice? I think you've priced yourself too low. I doubt you'll lose a single customer by upping the price from $5 to $10, and that cuts in half your number that you need to sell. Your labor and assistance in putting these together is, to anyone likely to need such a pattern (like myself), probably worth a bit more than $5.
To put it in economics terms, your price is set below the intersection of the demand curve and the supply curve, thus decreasing BOTH your reward for labor and our supply of products.
As a demonstration, I have just paypal'd you $10.

Do you think it's possible for somoene to '"shrink" these down to kids size? these would be awesome for our households kids boffer group, and has the look and would be cheap to make out of scrap leather and metal.
