A Pas d' Arms: 51 fights for 51 years...

Post by RoaK »

Greetings all. Tomorrow is my 51st birthday so I today I fought 51 fights, one for each year I've been alive at fighter practice. My thanks to all those from the Citadel of the Outlands I fought today.

While it might not seem like much to some I can honestly say I feel like I’ve accomplished something great, I'm thoroughly drained and it feels good. I can now say: "I understand".

Prowess!
I can smell it from here! :)

Well done good sir. I remember this year last when I fought my '56' and indeed it is a good feeling...I hope you got your dance partners to sign a book comemerating the event. I sometimes break out the tome to remember that I did indeed obtain my 'deed of arms' for that day. If everything goes well this march...I will again attempt my goal of 57 passes. Once again...a heartfelt well done.

51? Damn... you're older than dirt.

25 more years of fighting before you can say I beat the Marshal's record.

I love this stuff! I turn 50 next May and am giving serious thought to doing the same thing at some event next spring. It's also coincedentally the 25th anniversary of my getting authorized. I thought about fighting 50 opponents instead of 50 passes, although I'm so out of shape that it'd kill me LOL. I'd love to do it at my Barony's signature event, but that's not until September. Heck, I now qualify for all the "Old Fart" (50 yrs old or older) tourneys now, so maybe sponsor a tourney at an event this year.

So a question for those who have done this sort of deed, what all do I need to get? Obviously a book for my opponents to sign. Tokens/ flowers for my opponents ladies. Pavillion with my banner(s) so people can find me and issue challenges. Suggestions?

Oh, and congrats on the 51!

Fun fighter practice too.
