One Atzinger rattan war sword w/scabbard for sale.

Post by Vitus von Atzinger »

Here are two Atzinger "swords of war" for sale. They can easily be used with one or two hands. Both swords are 40" in total length.

The one on the left is an Estoc whose blade has been filed into an oval. It has Windrose sword hardware that has been powder coated with bright gold. Pommel is a pyramid shape- a pyramid "scent stopper" that was popular from about 1350-1450.

The one on the right is an Oakeshott type XIII which was popular from about 1250-1350. Blade is by Thomas MacFinn. It has Windrose sword hardware. Pommel is a wheel.

Both swords will be fitted with custom scabbards. The estoc's scabbard should hang almost vertical, while the type XIII will hang at an angle.

Both swords will come with a finished, wet-formed handle in the color of your choice. Scabbard bodies can be any color except white, while belts can be made white, black, brown, red, green etc.

Belts can be decorated with brass "dumbell" style mounts at $5 for each mount. Belts come with a Thorthor period-style brass buckle.

Estoc sword w/ scabbard and belt- $300

Type XIII w/ split style scabbard and belts- SOLD

Take a picture before you ship them. My plain blades don't look very interesting compared to finished swords.
I never stay in one place for three of my opponent's blows. I also never let my opponent throw three unanswered blows. Standing in front of your opponent lets him perfect his pell technique. Most fighters are very good against a pell. - Duke Gyrth

Vitus, what time frame is the split-style scabbard in use from/to?
