Ketill, I like fighting them but I'd rank you above either of them (you did beat me in Crown once after all ;)

as for Blue, haven't had enough stick time with her to judge, hopefully that'll change this weekend; I'll be fighting pickups at Gyldentholt all day

I'd say the top of the list now looks like (no particular order):

Alexander Aethelwulf
Thorin O'Shedgha
Gunther of Orkney
Peligon of Pithia
Gaius Furious Marius
Sechequr Qara
Feia of Amber Moon
Mikhail of the Kuma
Ian the Red

Yep, Lorccan would have been one of the first names to come to mind if he were still living in Caid.

In fact I bet he has beaten me more often in tourneys than any other unbelt.

Thanks for the kind words, y'all! I do miss my SCA home, but I'm doing my best to represent for Caid out here in Gleann Abhann. There are a great many fine fighters out here (admittedly, fighting a little different version of the game), and a dread opponent called "90%+ humidity"...

I'm also about to spend a couple of months in El Paso for work, so I'll be getting some to know the Outlands a bit, too!

I have to agree with Ashraf - Thor's a great scrapper and a fun fight, but your technique is cleaner and your patience is greater, and those make you a more formidable opponent. I expect you to keep improving and kick my ass when I come to GWW!

We have him in Gleann Abhann now, and he is fun fight and a great guy.

In Gleann Abhann I would say the best unbelts would have to include Settimio D'Olivio, Olaf Bristlebeard, Motan the Mongol, Mika'il al Rashid, and Hjalmr Sognefjord (sp?). Hjalmr is probably the best of the bunch - certainly the most well rounded at multiple (read ALL) weapon styles, which is crazy at his whopping 135 lbs.

Should probably mention Big Jon Whittom, Lannon McGillivray, and Martin von Augsburg as well.

lets see here is my "list" and I will have to disagree with Ashraf on a few af these people....

and also in no "particular order"

Alexander
Snorri
Big John (the Orkney)
Ketill
Adam McAndrew( if he would keep coming out)
and a few others that I can't think of their names without seeing their faces...

I do have to agree on Adam. It's easy to forget about him because he doesn't come out a lot but its truely amazing to watch him fight.

He made it to the bow out round and was smart enough to know he wasnt ready to be a champion yet. Hes a great kid with a lot of potential. He just needs to learn how to "play SCA".

Is this the kid and is that Burke he's fighting?

Yes that is Mace Longsword fighting Sir Burke at Warlord.
That reminds me to finish uploading all the video I took.

Oh, yeah, I forgot about Big John (aka Grim øxarbrjótr) and Adam MacAndrew. Big John's been a serious threat on the war field for quite a while, he just doesn't fought in tourneys too much. I hope that's changing! Adam, as you say, should get out more, he's a great fight.
