Oh man! I was one of those lucky XL hauberks! I was pleasantly surprised when I got an email at work saying a package from Ice Falcon Armory had arrived for me. It looks great and fits well. I can't wait to get out and use it. :D

Your Grace, thank you for the lightening fast delivery (minus that whole boat part  ). I think it took me three times as long to post this comment as it took you to ship my hauberk after you got it in your hands.

You are welcome. I promise to launch all of these as soon as they are in my hands. I don't want your gear laying around my shop....:)

The last I heard, we should be getting our delivery by the end of next week. If this is the case, I will ship by the end of next week. I will be charging all of the balance of the cards I have orders for.

Cheers!

The balance of most of the orders from April came in. Why do I say "Most"? I was shorted a few items. If you ordered in April you are getting your gear. All of it is on it's way to you with the exception of two XL hauberk orders. All of the orders that came after April are part of the 4th order and should be completed some time late winter (hopefully). I will be contacting the 2 people whose orders did not come in from April.

Sorry for the mixed news.

got it!

Got my mail!

Looking forward to trying it out ASAP.

And rather than ask in an email to Ice, here's a question all buyers will wonder about: Best method for degreasing it? My hands turned black after 1 minute of handling it.

First off, Hauberk is awesome! Regarding removing grease and filth, I just placed the hauberk in an empty five gallon bucket and poured in two gallons of simple green. After soaking for several days (twisting and agitating the bucket intermittently) then agitating a bit more, I removed and hosed it off. Totally clean!

Simple green is the method that most folks find works best.

The simple green does seem to be working. I even diluted it about 50/50.

And I got a holiday laugh about it. Went to Lowe's to get the cleaner, also recalled I needed a 10w halogen bulb for the bedside table. So I take those to the (not at all busy) cashier, put them on the checkout and say "So, you think she'll like her christmas presents?"

For us non-native English speakers; what is "native green"? Are you referring to grass?

I had good luck using Kaboom Bathroom / tile cleaner on mild mail.
I have only used it on smaller pieces mail skirts, voiders, etc. so this exact method may not be feasible for you.
I put the mail in a large zip lock bag then poured in the Kaboom.
I would leave it in for a few hours rolling the bag around every 30 min or so to make sure every part got a good soak.
The took the mail out and gave it a good rub down with a towel and dropped it into another zip lock bag of future floor polish (this was mild mail).
Obviously for the Ti you could just rinse off after the Kaboom.

I also had good luck using a vibratory tumbler with walnut shell media and a bit of sand on stainless mail.
