I'm looking to trade my services with a spear on the battle field at Pennsic for the use of a (late period) helmet during the war.
My head is 22.5", and with a padded cap (optional) I tend to wear it is about 25"
I'm most interested in using a sallet, but any late period helm will do in a pinch. I can also offer a couple non-sca helms as collateral if desired.
The owner of the helm I have been borrowing would like to have it back so he can loan it to a newly authorized fighter, which puts me in bit of a tight spot. He has a couple other helms I could borrow; but a barrel/great helm with my kit would certainly be far worse than the burgeonet/sallet/thing that I have been wearing.
