It has stood up to a shit load of beatings, the shorts are pretty much legal target defining. Having a defined neck and hip bone are pretty awesome for targeting. I've even used blunted steel against it quite a bit and had no real damage to it.

Recommend it to anyone that has the cash. It was my christmas present to myself last year.

What is the pricetag on that thing?

Where does one get that Dock rope? It looks perfect; easy to put up, take down, 0 maintenance and could take a beating if one wanted to.

I want to get some!

I stole it from sean powell's armor stand design from this thread
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=112989&hilit=stand
the shield is removable and the left arm can hold a sword.

Realized I never did post the Pell that my friend and I built. It's gotten less use than I would like, but should get more now that it's warming up.

I'm glad someone got some use out of that piece of engineering.

I considered how to mount a sword and shield to a pell but my best idea was to mount the sword to the shield. I like your idea for it's adjustability.

I am lucky to have a 6ft cut utility pole in my back yard, that someone was using as a hamock or a laundry drying line pole. But I put a old freon can helm that has been passed down for years in the canton, as the head. And I practice slow work on it.

I need a new one..

Note: There is a very sad epilogue to this image and a lesson for all. I thought I was going to be a smart ass and stick my Hanwei Tinker Norman blunt on the top of the pell but my aim was untrue and it skip down now my lovely Albion Stamford has a nick in its blade from that nasty brutish Hanwei and I have a tear in my eye :(

You can make a decent hanging pell out of large diameter firehose stuffed with old clothes too. Drill holes in the ends and bolt shut, and a hole for your rope to hang it with. No bounce back like some other materials and lasts forever.

I work for a fire department so it was free. You can probably call around to departments in your area and score some. Old hose that fails testing can't be repaired often gets cut up and used for stuff and many departments have it laying around.

Here's my Pell. It screams "Not in the Face! Not in the Face!" a lot but I don't care.. I just hit it there anyways. It's held up pretty good over the years and has only had one upgrade.
