Sold **Kettle helm F/S $250 shipped

Post by Hospitaller@Acre »

this is a xpost

1. Kettle Helm made by Two Ravens Armory. Never fought in.. 12 ga. top and 11 ga. rolled brim. My head size is 24.5 so for you big guys that can/t find a nice bigger helmet ..here it is. Comes with the good black refrigerator foam. Never fought in and no rust. $250 and includes shipping to lower 48. The helmet does not weigh that much because of the grill. there is a gap under the brim to allow to attach a aventail.

I am looking for a Kettle but I don't know alot about mild steel and Two Ravens.

Could someone reading this let me know if

1. 12 ga mild is suffcient for SCA combat

2. Any refs on Two Ravens as far as how well made their stuff is

Thanks

12 gauge is great for a top. Most are built with 14, which is thinner. I believe the brim is 11 gauge. Should be a tank.
Do a Google search for two ravens armory. He makes good stuff.

From a guy that has seen this helm up close and personal...it is one of the most bad ass kettle helms i have seen. The bar bottom allows so much visibility and the quality is top notch.

Thanks. I overheat pretty easily, and I think this might go a long way. It is also perfect for me historically.

it is an amazing helm for that price. I would have no problem whatsoever paying that much for it, if it fit my persona and all. (That's saying a lot since I'm a cheep skate and all.)

Yeah, the problem was not "is it worth $250" it's "do I have $250 to buy a helmet?"
