There is still much to do, but I put there most of my work in past year.
Comments etc... are welcome.

Jeff,
nice job. Aluminum is probably tough to work. Anyhow, I have one piece of advice for you to consider.
I dished a globose breastplate from 18gauge steel and then I used a stump to turn the bottom hem into an inch and a half fauld. Long story short, I ended up cutting the fauld free, turning a more sober 1/2" lip at the bottom of the breast to which I riveted a separate fauld. Big improvement, better fit, and it seems more "finished."

Looks good! Are you going to fight in it, or sell it? It's nice to see a spangenhelm done like that. It looks more like what you typically see in period illustrations and sketches. Armours tend to shoot for the nicest looking piece, instead of the most common piece. Then we wind up with 20 - 30 matching helms on a field that were only appropriate for one or two of the leaders. Or a ton of Norman nasals or Viking spectacle helmets all off the same two patterns.

Sorry
I hope that someday I'll at least cover my fees, so giving is not an option for now... nice try anyway.

It is coming. I was use to deal the pieces I've made one by one. But now that I am on the Net, I guess that I should build a catalog. It will come soon. If somebody is interrested with something, I'll make the deal via email.

Good advice. I almost did that for the back plate. Finaly I went for a two pieces back.
More pictures will come soon. And yes, I found aluminium harder to work than steel, but it has is advantages...even if it is not period.

This is the only one I ever made, and it was for me with my "light-suit" : http://www.geocities.com/asgardarmouries/lightgears.html
I have not decided of a price yet, but I can do another one for you. I will contact you via email.

Thanks. Yeap I think the same, and I wanted to have something a little different from the common norman helm. It was intended for me, instead of my barbute with my light suit, but I'll probably go for a chainmail camail instead. More confortable, which is the goal of my light suit. So it is for sale.
