Student made, partially finished armour and parts 1/2 price

Post by Talbot »

In the early 2000s I ran a club in the high school metal shop called "Armour Club." Students came and went. Some made excellent armour, some made OK armour and some never finished. This fall I cleaned out the cabinet that held all the unfinished parts and I am offering them to you for sale. These vary wildly in quality and what you see is what you get. Some are really well done. Others not so much. I sold a bunch of these parts this fall. This is what is left. All offered to you at 1/2 price!

Paypal or check are both fine. Prices do not include shipping.
----------------------------------
Most of the spangen helms are 18-20 gauge unless otherwise noted and would be fine for dress purposes.

I'll take the assembled Von Prankh if you can tell me what the inside dimensions are, including the height from the top to the ocular. Thanks!

(p.s. I love the label on the box it's sitting on. "hose, braises, Doug's towel." We know where the dirty stuff goes after events! Ha.)

Internally it is 10" tall. There is 5" from the top of the ocular to the deck plate.

What's the head size of the Mostly Finished 4-Plate Spangen?

Tentative dibs.

You said 34" internal dimensions, right? I have a 22.5" head circumference and would only be wearing a coif and padding appropriate for reenactment beneath it. Seems quite large. Did you mean to say 24"?

34 was the bottom edge. At eye level it is 28" I was just razzing you. No pressure.

The internal dimensions of the helm are a bit over 27 inches.

It's a good price, I imagine you'll find someone else who can make use of it. Maybe after Christmas is done and people have funds available.
