Rattan saex handles - show us yours!

Post by Halvgrimr »

Since leaving the VALH scene I have healed (mentally) mostly but I have still found myself unable to create/produce nice pieces like I used to.

My SCA resolution is to once again start to create things to better my SCA kit.

By Crown (2 weeks) I want to so somethings to my kit to polish it up
I started a new saex today.
I had intended to base it on the saex I used for LH but though Id ask here to get some other ideas.
Looking mainly for what folks are doing with the handles but wouldnt mind seeing some sheaths either.

Bring it on!

Here's one I sold recently here:

Handle is stained and polyurethaned, with a brass spacer and elk antler cap.

I'm Ivan Bjornisson in another game. There're only so many good Norse names to go around. :)

I am not from your kingdom, but that Gleann Abhann sheath is outstanding. Not that any of the others are ugly or anything.
