Retry With Pictures--Stuff for Sale

Post by talaananthes »

So, let's try this again. With pictures, albeit crappy ones. I will consider best cash offers. Excuse my crap photography skills.

1. Custom heavily padded subarmalis from LaWren's Nest. Linen shell with wool padding. Doubled over shoulders. Was made way, way too big for me, measurement across is 25" (so probably for about a 44" to 46" chest), never fought in. Asking $75. Pictured from back.

SOLD!!! 2. Revival cotton gambeson, forest green with black interior. Size small (I'm 6' and wear a size medium t-shirt pretty comfortably and this fits me well). Missing a few buttons, although I also have a few loose ones and honestly all of these style gambesons REALLY need their buttons attached better. Never fought in. Asking $90.

SOLD!!! 3. Medium 9mm STAINLESS flat round rivet Icefalcon aventail. Very lightly used. Asking $200.

http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w89/ ... C_0768.jpg

SOLD!!! 4. Hidden plastic coat of plates. Includes lumbar plates for SCA upper back protection. A bit large on me, but not quite as large as the subarmalis. I can get into it under my haubergeon and gambeson with room to spare, so probably fits somewhere in the range of a size large tshirt, around 6 foot tall plus or minus a few inches. This could easily be resized a bit down by removing plates, and might be able to go up to the smaller end of the size XL tshirt range. Used in good condition. Asking $55.

5. Heavy hardened leather knees and elbows. Elbows by Torvaldr, early style knees by Sir Vitus. Painted a coppery bronze color as seen in period illustrations. Very heavy and hard leather. Worn a few times for display, never fought in, unstrapped. Like new condition, paint is perfectly retouched. Depending on your preferences, these may be sufficient for SCA combat purposes. Asking $100 for full set. These are decent sized, but not huge. I'm not really sure how to give sizing. Probably sized right for someone between 150 and 200 lbs.

6. McDavid hexpads 6-pad short sleeve shirt, grey, size small. Fits like a compression shirt for those of us who wear size medium. NEW with tags still attached. Asking $50.

7. Crash Pads Hockey Shorts, style 2300, size small. These are awesome leg padding, probably the best style of Crash Pads. Used a few times but clean and in excellent condition. Asking $60.

COMBO DEAL: Hex pads shirt and crash pads shorts, $100 for both, SHIPPED PRICE.

Do you have any Half guantlet needs or other trade items that might pay for the Hex pad shirt?

OK, the message still ain't moving, so here's the question: if the Revival size small fits you well at 6', what's your chest, waist and dress shirt size? I'm picking up the same model from someone else and was thinking of the medium, but I'm only 5'7", 38" chest, 31" waist, 15/33 shirt. If your proportions are greater than mine, it seems as though I want the small also.

Interested in the subarmalis...something I've been wanting for some time. Got any other pics, maybe of you wearing it? I want to see how it hangs, and wonder at how hot is it under armor? Calling tentative dibs, pending pics and such.
