Long seax for sale soon!

Here is a new seax I have finished. The blade was made by Scott at Darkwood Armory and is 16 1/4" long. Overall 21". The blade is made from 5160. I set the bone handle and the front and back plates are 1/4" brass.





The sheath is veg tanned leather and sealed with linseed oil.



While it is currently hung with 2 belt loops, this blade is long enough that it wouldn't look too small hung with a baldric.

I will be getting it back to Scott in about 2 weeks and honestly have no idea what he is going to sell it for. All the work I put into this just buys me time in his shop. He said he will be putting it up on his website and if it doesn't sell quick I am sure it will be at his booth at Gulf Wars.

Anyway I am pleased with how it came out and wanted to post a few pictures!
