A different kind of armor

Post by Luther Anshelm »

OK, now that armor-making for Season 1 of FMJ is over, it's time to post some pics of some other interesting projects. This one is constructed from 300 series aluminum, 063. The front and the back were both made from two pieces, joined at the waist. The "architectural details" were both raised--yeah, that's right, hand-formed with lots of fittings.

The four closures (two on each side) are pretty simply buttonhole-type closures. It's a very snug fit, and the internal pressure of the person inside keeps it securely closed.
