Knotwolf Helm FS **sold
The previous deal I had going for this fell through. So it now for sale again. This is an awesome helm, but I bought a new Knotwolf that will fit my head better.
Bronze bling, riveted mail drape on the back that is backed with leather, strapped at two points which comes together to hold the front and bottom of the chin, padded for a 23.5" oblong head (will fit 24" with some padding adjustment, I would guess) more specific measurements available on request. The steel has a very nice patina pattern, it was made like that, I didn't leave it out in the rain. Anyone who has owned, or even held a Knotwolf, knows how solid the construction is, this one is no different.
Originally purchased on the AA for $425 plus shipping (was $600 new, I'm told), and I have only worn it 3 times in SCA combat since I received it, so I would like to get what I paid for it.

Interested in buying it, given that it is likely to fit my 22" head. This is my only concern; do you think it would be too big for me?

It might be a little big, but it all depends on how much you want to pad it. Yes, you could make it fit by padding it a little more, but I don't want to sell you something like this if you are not going to be happy with it. Your call.

I'll probably run it by my fight marshal before I decide. I've been wanting a knotwolf helm, and this is pretty much exactly what I was looking for. However, I don't want to buy something that truly is too big for me.

Re: Knotwolf Helm FS
You are going to want at least a 1/2 inch of padding all the way around and many people prefer 3/4 to 1 inch of padding.
If you wear an arming cap or the like under your helm that, too, will take up space. With that being said, this helm will easily work for your head as long as you repad it to make it fit properly.

Ok, I have received assurance from my fight marshal and Lady Kaolin that the fit should not be a problem. So, I would like to buy this helm.
