I have several pieces of armour for sale, they have all been made by myself. Please call dibs here or email me at kmvogt1@frontier.com.

Edit: forgot to add, I can take PayPal, major credit cards, or money orders.

I have a large flared knee cop in 16 ga stainless steel with a satin finish. They are 7" across the opening, side to side. They are $115 plus shipping.

Not sure what happened to that second image...

I also have a bascinet in mild steel grilled for SCA combat. I would call this a small medium, it is a little narrow. The top is 12 ga and the skirt is 14 ga. It does have some weld pitting on ridge line and has that wonderful slightly asymmetrical look that some period armour has. Asking $295 plus shipping.

Measurements are:
Brow, straight across - 9 3/4" front to back and 8 1/4" side to side
Face opening - 7 1/4" brow to bottom of grill.
Back - about 5 1/8" dead center back from brow to bottom of skirt
Bottom opening is about 8" wide, slightly narrower than the brow

I have more armour available. First up is aluminum knee and elbow cops. These are made from .080 6061 T6 and are welded by a professional welder. They are very light and would make great melee armour. The elbows are 5.5" from side to side and the knees are 6.75" from side to side. I am asking $55 for the elbows and $65 for the knees plus shipping.

Baskethilts, made from cold rolled .25" mild steel. I have been making these for over 15 years and they are very durable and lighter than many expect from a baskethilt from steel rod. I have two in the 'small' size. The opening is 5" x 5" give or take about an 1/8". I am asking $45 each plus shipping.

If anyone wants any other measurements, please let me know.

I'm interested in a set of elbows and the "soupcan" knees. Would you kindly PM me details?

Cheers,

Niall's work is very solid. I bought a set of soupcan knees for one of my squires a while back and the quality was superb!

I bought a set of soupcan knees from Niall a couple years ago. Nice work and good quality. I don't wear them near enough.

A set of blackened elbows. These are made of 16 ga mild steel, professionally welded, painted black on the inside. The exterior is blackened, although it is more of a dark charcoal gray than black. The photo shows some odd spots but it is the lights in the shop and the flash. The blackening is protected by a laquer and wax finish. Sizing: 4.75" across the ends of the cop and 4" tall. Asking $45 + shipping costs.

Another set of the 'soupcan' knees. This time in 16 ga mild steel with a bright polish. They are 6 3/4" across the ends and 6 3/8" tall, with about 5/8" flare on the top and bottom. They are painted on the inside with primer and flat black paint, the outside has a wax finish. $85 for the pair plus shipping.

Nice work, Excellency! I need to check into some soupcan knees and elbows. One day, before I am too old to fight....
