Sale at Vikingleathercrafts this Weekend--Ended Thank You

Post by VikingLeather »

We have discounted several items from the site off our already low prices. 14th Century Shoes and Boots, journals, Cuisse Belts, buckles, pouches have been discounted.

We will be changing items around a bit, and will remove some items and add more throughout the weekend. Viking Boots, 12th and 13th Century boots will go on sale over the weekend.

Supplies are limited to inventory on hand, but will honor the prices of items we do not make in house if we have to special order for you. We are going to place an order this weekend for May delivery.

We will also send out a sale flyer to our email subscribers as reminders. Thanks for looking and we look forward to hearing from you.

We will also be adding in a few new items this weekend, new low cost buckles, brass belt decorations, etc.

Frank

Okay, I think the sale flyer is too big to put on the Archive, but have it on facebook if you would like to see. Will try to get a smaller version a bit later.

These will also be coming out in an email as well to those of you on our distribution list

And today you're having a sale....

I think that means I'm winning!

One question.
I noticed in the pictures for your period belts that they had round studs in the belt. Can I order a belt without the studs? Or do the studs enhance the strength?

awesome. how are the shoes sized vs modern shoes? i wear a 10.5 but can still wear a 10 if the shoe is right. i am worried a 10 would be small but an 11 huge?

Wolf,

I wear a 10.5 and I find that an 11 fits fine (especially if I put in sport insole).

Thanks for the orders folks, we are filling them as quickly as possible. My cobbler bench will be busy putting soles on next week.

Questions answered--

These shoes run true to US sizes. They do have a bit more of a pointed toe than modern shoes, but we have found that as a norm, If you wear a half size, go up to the next full size, if you wear normally a US 11, order the 11.

Period Belts--We can customize any belt in any fashion within the laws of physics. The pics on the site are just that, pics of different belts. If you don't want the studs, we make them plain. The studs are a customization and cost a few dollars more. The studs are for decoration only.

Thanks for the questions and the orders. Going back to the shop.

Made the order anyway. Got an email 10 minutes later that said I will be getting a $5 credit back since they were on sale over the weekend. Yet again, a reputation well deserved. Top notch, Frank. I intend to buy you a beer if I run across you at an event.

Got a question before I order...I have very wide feet..wear a 12 1/2 EEEE...I am interested in the viking boot with the center seam..the re-enforced heel...do you need a tracing of my foot?

I wear a 10 1/2 EEE, His size 11 14th century boots stretched in to fit me well.

Oddly though I did managed to pull a buckle off one today... separated the glue and the stitching but didn't rip the leather. Its my own fault for not punching a new hole though.

Patternweld, I can't believe I give you nice boots to play with and you tear them up. Do you need help fixing that or can you stitch it back? Also, is there something that needs to be done to keep that from happening again. We can work to fix minor flaws in future boots.

Rorik,

To be truthful, the reinforced heel viking boots are made of a thick natural leather. They won't stretch to fit your foot I am afraid. One of the other pairs with softer leather would stretch to fit, but still probably not do as well as you would like. We are not able to get custom widths any longer, it just simply takes too much time for us to be profitable. 3 pairs of boots can be made in the time it takes to redesign the pattern for the wide widths. You are welcome to try but I really don't think the reinforced heel style would fit your wider foot. I am very sorry to disappoint.

Lil barge cement and some waxed heavy thread... no problem. 5 Minute fix. I just needed to punch new adjustment holes... got lazy... pulled harder than I should have and ripped it loose. The point is... I didn't rip the leather.
