Re: Great Helm for Sale $150
While I definately do not need another Great Helm, I'd love to see another picture of a great Great Helm!
Re: Great Helm for Sale $150
Interested in pics aswell!

22-24 inch head? thats a huge difference man. I have a 22.5 inch head and no way I would wear a helm for a 24 inch head

Re: Great Helm for Sale $150
Sure you could, different padding makes a huge difference. Its unpadded and seems to be the right size for my 23 inch dome with some padding, so Im guessing with 3/4 padding it would fit you fine, Some liners ive seen are thicker than that even.zippy wrote:22-24 inch head? thats a huge difference man. Re: Great Helm for Sale $150
I agree, sort of. I tend to like as much padding as possible in my helms (OK, not TOO much) and therefore go one inch larger usually on helms to add that extra bit I'd like to have there.zippy wrote:22-24 inch head? thats a huge difference man. So a larger helm is better for me, but I think you see that the target (your head) is now one inch larger (all around) and therefore a larger target, and a larger target is easier to hit, and if you are hit more often you'll need more padding...

Re: Great Helm for Sale $150
Hi I agree Aaron, Ive seen hand sewn liners that were easily an inch thick before. I have heard these were made to wear over a Bascinet so I dont think they are supposed to fit tight like a close helm.
My measurement estimate range does seem a bit wide though, If a guy had a 22 inch dome he would need 1 inch padding in it, that seems a bit much. Ill change it to 22.5 - 24 for better acuracy.
Take care
Pitbull
