New mini seax.

Post by Thaddeus »

Finished this up last night.
Blade is 1084 with a soft back draw.
The handle is walnut capped with brass.

The bevel wound up being a bit thick at the choil and I didnt realize the error until I put a rough edge on it.
As a result the edge geometry looks a little bit funky in the flash. It will clean up with the final sharpening.
I took the pictures late last night and still need to edit them for posting size.

I need to make a couple of small tweaks to the blade and I think add a brass stiffener and hangers to the scabbard and its ready to go out the door.
I was hoping to connect with its new owner before Pennsic, but may have missed my window.

Edit to reduce image size to something more dsl friendly.
