For Sale: 2 Volume Set/15th c. Recipe Book

Post by T. Finkas »

I bought this 2-Volume book set for a pal of mine that does all our company cooking at encampments and parties. Trouble is, he already had it, so I am making this unused set available for sale here on the Archive.

The book is :
Take a Thousand Eggs or More:
A Translation of Medieval Recipes from Harleian Ms. 279, Harleian Ms. 4016, and Extracts of Ashmole Ms. 1439, Laud Ms.
by Cindy Renfrow

The book consists of 2 THICK spiral-bound volumes and includes adaptions of over 100 recipes for modern cooking. There's also a number of wonderful engravings and woodcuts scattered throughout the book showing some very interesting aspects of medieval and renaissance era cooking & kitchens that I have NOT SEEN ANYWHERE ELSE!

You can check it out at Amazon---
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0962859842/qid=1026773356/sr=1-1/ ref=sr_1_1/002-0560321-5330406

Amazon lists it at $27.00---But I'll sell my pristine condition 2-volume set for $20 plus shipping.
