16" Canvas Yurt for Sale, Boston MA - VERY CHEAP

Post by TaliesonTegwas »

Hello!

About 6ish months ago my wife and I purchased a yurt through the AA at pennsic that I am attempting to get rid of. My wife bought it assuming it would fit in a vehicle that it does not, leaving me unable to transport it. I was deployed at the time coordinating with the seller and her to arrange the purchase, and pressured her to get it despite the size. This is the original link.

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=152487&hilit=16+yurt

The Yurt is 16" in diameter and made of canvas that has been waterproofed and stored in a dry area. The Door is 5ft. tall and 4ft. wide. I have never set it up, though who we were assured upon purchase it's able to be done with 2 people, and my wife saw it set up and vouches for it's sturdiness. It's large but seems to be of extremely sturdy make, and comes with a fancily painted door. It's priced to move so we can get a new pavilion we're able to actually use. I'll attempt to answer any questions you may have an encourage them! Please, help a young married couple be not SCA homeless!

I'm asking $750 if you can pick it up, thought for the right amount of money over that price delivery may be possible. A motivated salesmen with the time could likely purchase this and resell for profit.

Man, I'd be on that in a heartbeat, but TX is a bit much to ship that puppy. Looks great, though.

Why not just buy a trailer? Keep the yurt and ride to war in style?
Do you know the maker?

Also to add dimension to the size, I have a seam engineered 20 x 20 from Panther, that after seaming is 16' 6" square, I set up a queen size bed, have a small kitchen aloted and also a sitting area with 4 chairs with end tables and a trunk, I use for a center table. 16 ft is HUGE!!! Also I paid 1000.00 for mine here on the archive. With the panther set up poles and ropes included. 750.00 is a great price for a yurt, If you like rounds...

I thought about the the trailer, but adding a tow kit to the vehicle I have that could tow would be a lot of money, and it's an older vehicle that I just don't trust with a trailer behind it.

And yes 16ft. is huge and the beauty of a yurt is the lack of a center pole, along with the door can make for a beautiful area to host folks.

The yurt I built for my family last winter is 16' in diameter.
We have been able to host a bardic with about 15 people sitting comfortably inside it.

Definitely worth it for those with a family with 2 or more kids.

I already built mine or I would be figuring out how to squeeze my budget for this.

As to Shipping.. I have no idea how to even do that to be honest. I'd say it's likely over 125lb, though the pieces are all so large their awkward to carry and judge the weight of.

A 16" yurt should fit in one of the post office "one price shipping" boxes. ;)

Not to be difficult, but sorry any sort of shipping is out of the question to me, looking for a local sale.

why is shipping out of the question? If the buyer's willing to pay for it, what's the big deal?

Shot in the dark, but if they can't fit it to transport for events, they might not be able to take it to ship at all.

Good luck with the sale, that's a great price!

Can you PLEASE at least contact me? I have some ideas- and some shippers of which I am willing to Pay for will come pick up at your location- but none of this will work unless you are willing to make Contact.

Are you re-thinking selling it or?? I don't see why it should take a week to give me an meh answer when I am willing to more than meet you half way on getting it to me. Hell I am ALMOST willing to come up and get the damn tent-

I will sleep in my van at GW if I have to- but I really do not want to.

Yes, was sold, sorry for the slow update. Appreciate all the interest.

Didn't mean to be rude or neglectful to any wanting buyers, just didn't check AA, believe it or not.
