Nice kit! I am sure it will rock harder once your new helm gets in.

Thanks guys, Ice dragon marked my one year mark and I hoping that by Pennsic this year the kit will be good enough for the combat of the thirty (the whole reason I got into the crazy sport...to think I could be golfing...)

I've had co-workers ask why I don't play golf...It's pretty simple. I'd rather hit (and walk towards--I don't really chase anymore) a person than a little white ball.

This is the video channels that show how to make PVC bows. The process is fairly simple.
The one thing I have discovered is to shape the bows as if they were strung.
Shaping them as if they were unstrung horsebows flexes them too much when strung and they warp and collapse.

Blackened the new helmet and hooked up all the hardware, finally getting where I want to be, finishing the greaves hopefully by war practice.

Sans helmet and gauntlets

I completely tore down the lamellar and rebuilt it and made new leg armour.

I'm thinking of making new greaves and shaping them (I didn't make these) and adding some splints.

Thanks. Its primary purpose is to keep the slit in the maille from gapping to wide.

Up close one can see that it is green vines on a black background.

+1.

I love that sort of detail work. It really raises a piece from the common to the exemplary.

Thank you very much. Yup, I have a bargrill as well that is interchangeable, but the perf. plate is thick as hell and I have great vision through it, so I have been using it for both. Top of faceplate and brim love to catch pikes though, I should dodge better.

Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit. -Aristotle
