SOLD! Hammer Breaker Bascinet FS (Pic Heavy!)

Post by Swete »

My friend, Olivier du Canard de Bain, bought this klapsvisor bascinet helm from Hammer Breaker a while back, however he has bills to pay. It has never been fought in or modded in any way.
It is 14 gauge mild steel throughout. It will fit a 23 inch head perfectly or a 23.5 head if only using half inch padding. It has a removable visor. It will need either locking pins or a securing strap for it to be SCA legal. It comes with an internal liner.
There are a few specks of rust, but I have polished it as best I can.
He is asking $300 with free shipping in the continental United States.
I will be handling the sale of this helm (obviously), and since he doesn't have a paypal, we will use mine.

Money talks on this sale; if you dib it and someone else offers to pay now, it goes to them. Sorry, but he has to make rent this month.

I am modeling the helm. Please excuse my wife's pink camera

But Swete, if you sell this, you can't play in the 14th century deed at BAM....

Haha! It isn't my helm to wear. Plus I don't have a 14th century kit to go with it if it was mine. And my buddy, Olivier, needs a roof over his head, so it's gotta go.

Ah, nevermind then.
I suppose you can be excused from having a 14th century kit, if you show up for the Viking Raid.

+1 to hit but -1 for damage on tactically padded opponents. Then there is the fall hazard and the getting fallen ON hazard for spindley folk.
