Looking for small armour bits

Post by Murdock »

Need tiny guantlets and helmets for some women, among them my wife.

Will likely just call Windrose back about some he has but if anyone has a deal on some small 20-21inch head bascinets or tiny guantlets or just nice small pieces lemme know.

Buying is faster than building it my self

I have an older bascinet in my shop that has been sitting for a number of years. The visor is by Aaron Toman, there is a makers mark present. The skull is not signed but looks a bit like student or early work to me. Welds are all solid but the shape not as refined in later pieces.
I took this helmet in as a project for a lady a long while back and she has not shown any further interest in it.
She may be willing to sell it.
I can barely get it on my 22.5" head. It would work for a 21" head though.
The helmet and visor are not drilled for straps.
If your are interested I can check with the owner.

Oh 14 gauge mild steel throughout.
Visor is blued currently with butchers wax applied hot.

Still have that stainless we talked about on facebook... I paid about $100 for it. Can let it go for 75 plus shipping.. It is for a small noggin.

I have an Anshelm basinet with exchange visors and a welded camaille. It belonged to my late wife. (She never got to wear it.) I don't have the measurements but will be able to get them when I'm out at the shop tomorrow. I don't know if you want to go that high end, but if you do make me an offer.
Bad armour is like nuclear waste - Once it is released in to the environment it never really goes away.
