Need Feedback on a new Viking Boot design

Post by VikingLeather »

I would like some feedback please. At the moment, we carry a Viking 2 toggle boot at a price of $49.95. Very affordable, but as our whole sale price has increased we will have to be raising the price $5 to a price of $54.95. Still the least expensive on the web. We also carry a Viking 3 Toggle boot with a reinforced heel for more support in the heel, but it is a bit more expensive at $79.99

Here is the question. I am having a Viking 2 Toggle version designed and will look like this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/vikingleat ... 755460536/
The price will be $64.95. I am having a hard time deciding whether to discontinue the lower cost 2 toggle version and going with the upper scale one, or just trying to carry both.

Your feedback would be appreciated. Here are pics of all 3 designs:

I really like the reinforced heel especially for fighting, however for a more period appearance the regular looks better. I would say however regardless of which way you go, please for the love of viking fighters please produce some in women's sizes or go even smaller in your mens size selection. My lady fights and can't get a decent fighting boot because no one carries the smaller size.

Personally, I like the lower cost 2 toggle version better. Cost aside, were I in the market for a Viking shoe currently, that's the one Id purchase.

Keep the lower cost one, I know people who prefer it. I won't wear the three toggle, so I won't weigh in on it.

Know what I would love to see? A pair done with the toggles on the inside if the foot...

I'd have to agree w/ smaller sizes. I would get the viking 3 toggle reinforced heel but the sizes only seem to go down to 9. I wear an 8.

Olaf pretty much states my pov.

fwiw, I own (and fight in) a pair of your 2 toggles. I love them.

I like the reinforced heel idea. Are there any other changes that are made that I can't see (or am not yet full of caffeine) to notice?

Thanks for the feedback folks. I will keep the regular two toggle in stock. Will try an experimental run of the two toggles with reinforced heels, but will keep the 3 toggle version for the fighters that like to use them. They stand up better in combat.

I will see about adding smaller mens sizes to my stock, I just don't get much call for them, which is the reason I don't stock them.
Zalbad, the size 16 adds $10, so for regular 2 toggle version, it would be $59.95 at present.

Thanks again for the feedback folks, I wouldn't mind a few more folks take on it if you would like to post.
