Visorless Early Great Bascinet for sale.

Post by MJBlazek »

Well, the baby sure racks up the bills fast! Apparently when the insurance company tells you that your newborns hospital bills are covered under your wife's plan, what they really mean is they add the baby as a dependant with thier own co-insurance and deducatble.
Long story short- We owe $700.

So, Im selling this great bascinet- no visor, with low profile bar grill.
Was made to emulate the early 15th century helmets, with the visor removed for fighting on foot.
made by Andrej Evtuh here on the archive.
Made from 12g mild. To fit a up to 24.5 inche head, it gets snug pulling it over the flared neck part.

Add a visor that matches up with the bar grill (that was my plan) and you would have a nice Great Bascinet.

This has never been worn in combat. it has a 1 1/2 inch strap on the front and back to buckle to a breasplate, or you could install a chin strap.
$350 and I will ship it in the US. And I will throw in a White Mountain Armoury foam padding kit.

did you look at what they billed the insurance company now that is a crazy number. my daughters birth cost about 20k. she was in the nicu for 1 day and that alone was almost 10k.

Matt, you should seek out an independent auditor to look at the bill. There are BIG overcharges and mistakes in most maternity bills.

Man I love that type of helm but it's just to big.

God DAMN that is a sexy helmet. Does the bevor pivot? Can we see a photo of its range of motion, and what the throat of the helmet looks like?
When you say it fits a 24.5" head, how much padding does that include? Or alternately, what are the actual measurements of the helmet?

It pivots a little but not much, I will get some pictures tonight.

I wore uit, and was going to authorize in it, once with about an inch thick padded liner (which I would be willing to throw in to for an extra $25!)
I will admit, that it was just thick enough to keep the helmet from moving around. If it had been an inch and a half thick it would have been perfect.
Ill get some actual measurements tonight.

Ok so , a little hard to measure just because of the odd shape.

29 inches outer circ around the brow.

19 inches from top of bar grill to back base of skull

Inside front to back 9 1/2 inches

Inside side to side 7 inches.

My head is 23 and a 1/2 around the brow.
