FS: Marvel Cosplay Costumes (Pics Updated)

Post by cblackthorne »

Hello,

My wife and I are in the process of starting up a new business and I need as much cash reserves as I can get. So we have decided to sell off items to help fund the new cause. I believe that some members of the Archive might be interested in these items so I have posted them for sale. For all items, the buyer will agree to pay actual shipping charges. I am willing to ship overseas, but be aware that some of these items are large and the cost may be very high. You can choose the shipping method you prefer. The items are sold to the first person with payment ready. I accept PayPal, cash, or check. Checks will have to clear the bank before the item is shipped.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to message me. I will be happy to answer any questions you have. If you prefer, I will even pass along my phone number to you so I can answer your questions during a real conversation.

I hope you enjoy the items.

Up first is the Dr. Doom costume I built last year. I have used it at several conventions and paid appearances, including the recent SyFy series "Heroes of Cosplay." I was a judge in the final episode and this costume was worn through the episode and in the credits. It has won several costume contents over the last year. I am 5'10" about 195 (size 9 boots) so you will have an idea if this costume will fit you. I figure it would work with anyone a few inches shorter or taller with no problems. The waist and chest have no hard parts so it will easily adjust up or down. The armor is make of ABS plastic. The face plate is a resin cast. Im asking $950, plus shipping costs.

Second, is a Scarlet Witch costume I made for my wife. It too can be seen on the SyFy series "Heroes of Cosplay" in scenes from the Kansas City Planet Comic-Con. My wife is around 5'2"

We are asking $300, plus shipping costs.

I will vouch for Cblackthrone. His stuff is top notch, I've seen in close up and Chris really pays attention to the details.
He also understands what it is like to actually wear armour so his cosplay stuff is designed correctly. It functions as well as it looks.

Quote: "Nissan Maxima"
(on Pennsic) I know that movie. It is the 13th warrior. A bunch of guys in armour that doesn't match itself or anybody elses, go on a trip and argue and get drunk and get laid and then fight Tuchux.

Thanks Trevor. :)

If my stuff is approved by InsaneIrish, I wonder if that endorsement would raise the value and asking price?

Your pretty much a fool for selling that costume your wife is wearing. It's not often we male dorks find an attractive female that will allow us to dress them up in nerd fantasy clothing!
