WTS White Mountain Armoury Kettle Helm

Post by Hacky2447 »

This is a TANK! It is very sturdy, and made of thick mild steel. I am honestly not sure what the gauge of the metal is, but it is very thick metal.

This helm is a mild steel Kettle helm, with removable bargrill, and an aventail attached. It is a used helm, in GREAT condition. no dents, just needs a little TLC, padding and a chin strap.

I bought this a long while ago, and I tried everything i could, but I just could not figure out a way to pad it to fit my head right. My head is approximately 23" around, and I think its just a lack of knowledge, but I just couldn't get it to sit right. I never fought in it after I bought it, and I added a butted aventail to it.

I would first like to trade this awesome arse helm for a bascinet that will fit my head. If there are no trades available. I would like to sell this for $350.00 shipped to your door. It bummed me out that i could not make it fit my head, but i just cant seem to do it.

WMA Kettle Helm 350.00 shipped to you in the Con. US. or trade for a bascinet that will fit my head.

Here are some pics of the Helm. I suck at taking pictures, so if there are other pictures of it you want. Please let me know, as I can take them later this evening.

That is a fantastic helmet. I fought in it for a little while and loved it. It was a household helmet for a time as well.

I am tempted to nab this to bring it back to the fold of the Priory. What do you think Thaddeus?

you said you couldnt get it to fit right , why was it to big? i have a 24.5 size head, and if it was to big then maybe it would fit my head.

It did not fit my head right as it is too big, and required more padding. No matter what i did, I could not get it to fit my head right. lol
I tried many times for a long while. LMAO.

To be honest, i had a chainmail guy I know put it on for me, and that's how he gave it to me. He attached it with cording, so I am not sure the functionality of the cord down the front. I believe it is just for style to match the cord, as it does not really serve a purpose as far as I can tell.

I tried this helm on, it was probably just a tiny bit small for me (I have a 25 1/4" melon).

Go for it Matt!
I am short of cash right now or I'd snag it.
Hacky if you are interested in swapping I have a couple of unspoken for knives that are waiting for handles.
I would be willing to finish up one of them and make an even trade. In particular I have one large bowie and a long persian style fighter.

Thaddeus,

I currently have a trade pending for a bascinet helm. If the trade falls through I will update the thread.

Very good! Better it go to an active fighter anyway.

I agree. I am really bummed that i could not make it work. I would just like to see it go to a good home that will use it.
