We hope you had a great Thanksgiving. If you see some footwear out of stock, we are trying to place more on the shelves over the weekend, so shoot us a line, we may have them, but just not on the site just yet. Be sure to look at the site and start thinking about what you are wanting. We have resupplied our shelves with many different shoes. We will also be stocking them all through the season as best we can. Making up belts this week to try to expedite orders. We will be adding a new designed shoe this week. It is the little brother of the 3 toggle reinforced boots. This one will be a shorter version with 2 toggles with the reinforced heels for you fighters that don't like the back of the boot to sag.

I have also procured 10 Norwegian Tines. These are the bentwood boxes, made in the old fashion with wooden pegs. Very nicely done, and will be available soon. We have purchased a few Viking Seax, and will have those up on the site soon as well. Drinking horns will be back in stock when we get our order in, should be in a couple weeks we are hoping.

We will be making the checkout code known on Thursday to try to help out with the Christmas season.

As an added bonus thoughout the month of December, we will be offering weekly drawings of $50 gift certificates to your choice of several vendors here on the Archive. The list will be made known when we finalize it, but so far we have Icefalcon Armouries, Mercenary Tailor, Ourselves, and are in talks with some others. IIRC a lugged sole is like the bottom of a combat boot or work boot. While Vibram is more of a hard foam/crepe material and is flat bottomed.

Thanks for the questions, I have answered the PMs.

And InsaneIrish is correct, although we have made a slight change or two through the years. First, we started with the vibram brand material, cutting it out to cover the entire bottom of the shoe. Very labor intensive and we had a few soles wearing out over the course of just a few events. We have since gone to another material, a little thicker, but only cover the front of the shoe and the heel, leaving the mid section uncovered, as we don't actually walk on that part unless you are flat footed as a board. Either way, we are installing the half soles on the front of the shoes to help us do the job a little faster.

For the lugged soles, the actual pattern is called Kletterleft. It is a pattern that is on some combat boots as well as work boots. We used a vibram material when we can get it on sale, but mostly use a Soletech product. Same pattern, just half the price for us. It is then cut to fit, and covers the entire bottom of the shoe.

Well Vlad,

When we first had the 3 toggle with reinforced heels stocked, it does have a 3rd toggle on the bottom, but it is tied instead of a toggle being used. It is a taller boot, being a high ankle boot. The newer version is shorter and just has the 2 toggles.

I agree, might be confusion, I am working on a better description. Suggestions?
