Looking for Horse Hair

Post by Gerhard von Liebau »

Hello folks,

I'm looking to buy enough horse hair to fill two Greek crest boxes. I suspect that I'll need quite a bit, and am not adverse to any colors if the price is right; though white, brown and red are my preferences. Cheers, and happy new year to all!

Moscow has them at 30-50 per pound.
Price seams to vary with length and color.

Buy white horse hair and dye it with fabric dye. Matt Amt has a how-to.

how much is a good amount to order for a full looking "ponytail" style (as opposed to "mohawk" style) crest?
