Looking for maille

Post by Charles Alexander »

Working on a project, and I'm looking for quality butted maille. Spring temper 16 gauge or 14 gauge regular. Smaller ring size ideally, like 1/4 or 5/16. Stainless preferred.

I'd also be interested in welded maille pieces/sections, but being unemployed I'm on a budget.

Thanks

How much do you need? I have a pretty good pile that used to be a shirt -1/4" id, 1/16" diameter wire, a mix of 316 and 308 alloy. I've been planning on turning it into a doormat for my stained glass studio, but also being unemployed I could use some cash to pay the bills.

I have some stainless rings and shirts in stock in butted stainless. I can give you a 5000 ring bag for $50.

It sounds like you have a few options, depending on the project I can help modify existing work or put something together from rings I have on hand.

Looking for stronger material. Unless you carry 16 gauge spring temper, or regular 16 gauge 1/4 ID.

The stainless round rings we have in stock are as strong as you are going to get without going spring temper. These bags are the thick round stainless rings.

I'm working on another mantle vest this time with blackened rings. Looking for any completed maille pieces, scrap, etc in blackened, galvanized, etc. 16 gauge is good.

Thanks
