Review of Merctailor Breast and Back

Post by JaiTBourgeois »

Sorry, this review is coming a little later than I wanted to post it. About five and a half weeks ago I contacted Al at Mercenarys Tailor Armoury about commissioning a cuirass. I sent in my measurements and pertinent info and Al said he would get started after he finished up a current project. From initial contact to receipt of my armor took 4 weeks (lightning fast!). As always, communication was a breeze and Al was very prompt with his correspondence. I absolutely love Al's stuff, the way it moves, the way it looks and the way it fits. I am doing a 16th century impression and this fits the bill perfectly! I was also very excited to have the armorer that made my almain collar also make my breast and back, cohesion is always a plus. Overall Al gets an A+ from me. I plan on bugging him in the near future for a separate gorget and arms, as well as expanding my collection of Merctailor armor whenever I can! If you need something done, give Al a shout! I highly recommend him!

Overall, fantastic communication, very affordable (especially for the quality you receive!), wonderful fit and finish and great articulation.

Thanks so much Al!!

Al does solid work and he's a good guy, it makes a difference. In my numerous dealings with him, I have never had an issue with anything- communication, presentation, workmanship, he aces them all. That'll be a nice complement to your harness once it is complete.

+1 for Al!

He’s made a globose breastplate with custom stop-rib as well as other pieces for me in the past. You cannot go wrong with Merc Tailor. :D
