WTB Beat up old gear and such
Hello all! I'm headed back to school soon, so I'll actually have freetime again. I'm quite a bit of a newbie. So far I've got my cup and an untaped EDR sword in a closet somewherw. I'm looking for the beat up older stuff you might have hidden away in a workshop or shed. I think I can restrap stuff myself with no problem. I live in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. I'm about 5'10 240lbs ish.

I'd be willing to figure out a fair price with you, and pay shipping etc. Thanks for your time.

A couple of questions
Combat style-
SCA
WMA
BotN style
You gave us height and weight, but how about a head measurement (ie side to side, front to back and hat size)?
Might help you out

Ah, sorry about that. Definitely aimed towards SCA. I'm not super familiar with the other two, but now my interest is up and I'll have to look at those organizations. I wear hat size 7 3/4. I believe I'm 7 1/2 across, and about 8 1/2 or 9 front to back. Not exact measurements, but I'm working with what I've got until I can snag use of the right measuring tools.

Hey there, mechamechanic.
Hampton roads happens to be the barony of tir-y-don, and I am the Chatalaine no less! PM me with your info, and we'll see about getting you in some loaner gear until you get kitted up.

Not necessarily Kilian, Hampton Roads also covers Marinus and a portion of the Shire of Berly Cort.
Mechamechanic, that is my old stomping grounds too. What city are you in?
Nevermind. I just saw Hampton.

I'm just a short distance away from the Coliseum.
Re: WTB Beat up old gear and such
I have these arms that I'm not satisfied with. They're my first:

They're only assembled with machine screws and gorilla tape in the picture, but now they're more assembled, and also polished. They don't articulate this much anymore, and the inner plates to the vambrace aren't physically attached. The inner plates to the rearbrace are missing. Nothing has been strapped. But they don't gap. 16 gauge mild steel construction throughout. I'm trying to do an early 15th century thing much along the lines of Guillaume Du Chastel and this is my first attempt.
I can get more pictures if you'd like. I'm willing to sell these because I'm building the same arms but (hopefully) doing things much much better. I'm in Reno, Nevada, and therefore nowhere near you.
EDIT: I'm 5'11", 200 lbs., and had 16" biceps when I made this. But again, I can get you real measurements.
