Wanted: Authentic Looking Seax & Scabbard

Post by nachebon »

Title says it all. New or used seax, 4" or bigger blade, with an authentic looking scabbard (horizontal, I believe). I need it before October 4th and would prefer it to be around $50 (ha!).

Thanks,

Robert

Hi,

I have a seax sort of lying around. I made it for a guy, but he became ill and couldn't reenact anymore. =( He needed the $$ for other stuff, so I still have it. Here's a pic, and if you are interested, I can email more. The guy specified that I leave a few pits in the blade so it would look "hand-made".

Price is $50-but it's without a sheath. I can make you a sheath and bump the cost to $65 + $5 s/h if you want. I can also mail pics of other sheaths I've made.

I can definately make you an authentic looking seax that will out cut anything they had back then. There are some pictures in my gallery on my website in my signature. The only thing though, is it will be more than $50.

Halfdan, Nachebon is interested, but if he decides not to get it you've got first dibs. Polarbear's stuff is quite nice, though. Image

Thanks for the replies. I'm going with Clang's seax but I've bookmarked the Polar Bear Forge for when I'm ready to upgrade my 13th Century knife.
