I think everyone is overwhelmed by Goll's PHD. The amount of information is literally stunning.

Manouchehr has put a great deal of information online. He's Persian, very involved in martial arts/wrestling/A&A....

He's well worth looking into.

Agreed. I helped him edit his big Persian arms and armour book. His work is thorough and comprehensive.

6-7thC, IIRC, it is also in Nicolle's books.

I'd love that book, Dan, but they seem to run about $170 or so.
