The Kris Cutlery one cuts better because of a slightly more substantial blade presence, plus a wider blade geometry making the edge angle sharper. It just cut through so effortlessly. Here's the cutting video of the owner himself, my student who was testing out some newly learned techniques:

However, the Kris Cutlery Jian came with a too-big slot for the tang, thus the hilt was not fitting and everything was loose when it first come. I inserted 3 wooden plates to make it fit the slot, plus sharpened it myself to make it usable. So Huanuo's one while more expensive, had a better hilt construction from the start.

The Huanuo's one was narrower, slightly lighter and thicker in edge angle, thus resulting in more cutting resistance. It was relatively a more thrusting-oriented jian.
