Looking for a horse hair crest for heavy combat.
I'm told that best best ones are the ones that still have the skin attached from the actual mane.
Where might one look for such a thing?

Re: WTB horse hair crest
My son bought a horsetail from Spotted Pony Traders at Pennsic. Inexpensive. I am still devising a cooler 'mount' for it - but right now it is tied. You might give them a call. They have a website.

Re: WTB horse hair crest
crest is kind of vague, what are you looking for? roman/greek or one of the more feral looking ones that you see on some early period helms. hair attached to the skin doesnt really work like you think for roman/greek crests.
Re: WTB horse hair crest
Looking at the roman style crest, sorry for being so vague in original post.
