Where to offload old armor bits.

Post by Squire_Cynric »

Hello,
I'm brand new to The Armour Archive. After a long break from the SCA, I'm seriously looking at getting back into the thick of things and have been working on a new kit. As I clean out my garage, however, I find that I have several odd old pieces of armor that I've been carrying around for years. Is this a place to put up for sale beat up, older, sometimes even rusty armor pieces that someone might want for loaner armor or a cheap set? Or is there a better place for that?

Thanks,
Cynric

Welcome back to the list field.
To be honest we get a lot of new people on the archive that can use pieces.
Some of us also like fix and repair projects if the price is right.

Listing stuff hear is a good option.
you may also want to consider your local group.

Words of advice:

Pics, pics, pics.
Dimensions.
Lowball prices.

Be prepared to give people exactly X amount of time to give you payment and then move on to someone else who wants it enough to send you money. I'm still sitting on a few things that never got paid for.
Stuff I will trade for: PWM controllers, steel sheet/rod/bar (4130/410/1050/toolsteel), ITC, casting supplies, wood tools, silver, oxpho blue, gun stuff (9luger/357mag/12g/7.62x54R/22LR), hammers, stakes, or pitch me!

the archive limits image sizes,
photobucket, imgur and other sites can host your images and may be easier to use.

Here is a good place, the armor for sale board on facebook is another. Brig... Funny you should ask. I just bought one from these guys. Its... mediocre but not awful.
