A Slavic helmet

Post by Jeppe »

Just finished this one for a costumer.
Made from a spun top 1.2mm (18 gauge) steel, polished and tempered to colour.
Nasal is laser cut from 2mm (14 Gauge) steel, then polished. Rim is 2mm steel as well
The plume holder was a bit tricky to make. The base is cut from 1.2mm sheet steel, then folded and silver soldered (I have no welder) to a piece of pipe, then polished.
All covered in clear car varnish to protect from moisture.
