Finally finished my spun top

Post by schreiber »

Only took several years on the back-burner.

This started life as a welded spun top I bought from Johann Blau in 1994, and turned into an awful barbute looking thing (can't find a pic right now), which was my first helm. But I recycled the top.

I made some latch bolts to connect it to the helm.

Stuff I will trade for: PWM controllers, steel sheet/rod/bar (4130/410/1050/toolsteel), ITC, casting supplies, wood tools, silver, oxpho blue, gun stuff (9luger/357mag/12g/7.62x54R/22LR), hammers, stakes, or pitch me!

Okay, that is really cool, and I **LOVE** that you have it set up in the 'resting pushed up on the head position. :D

Pretty nice work! In that first pic, I thought it was a kettle helm.

Nice beard, too.
