Hey folks,
Just checking to see if there is any interest in visby coat of plates kits like this one
https://www.flickr.com/photos/40421015@ ... ed-public/ in tempered 4130 or 410 SS
The kits would be shaped and heat treated out of .040 thickness in either 410 SS or 4130 and would probably run about 250-275 for the basic set. I would be able to add additional plates for an added fee.
I would be looking to get the first few sets out in December.
thanks i advance!
Any interest in 4130 or 410 CoP kits?

Re: Any interest in 4130 or 410 CoP kits?
Before I went on hiatus I would frequently get requests for COP kits. I don't ever want to offer kits, but I can tell you theres demand from folks who want to DIY and save some money but don't have access to anything that lets them make the metal components and patterning can rightly be quite intimidating.
If I may offer unsolicited advice, be real clear on expectations of post-sale technical support. One of the major reasons I will never offer kits is because 4 out of 5 or even 9 out of 10 customers will be self-sufficient or require minimal assistance, but there will be that one every month or two who will want to be hand-held through everything and you'll spend more time in correspondence than the margin on selling the kit could ever justify and it probably would take less time (and therefore money) and energy to have just built the COP for them for free yourself.

I am all over that kind of thing personally because I can peen a rivet and it saves quite a bit to do that labor yourself. I was looking a while ago and found someone to do a corrazina kit in 410 for me. I am sure there are others out there.
