Adjustments to Bokalo Cats Ass Gauntlets

Post by bigfredb »

I recently started using some Bokalo Cats Ass Gaunts. I really like the clamshell articulation and the enclosed thumb.

However, the thumb articulation and shape causes issues. The articulation doesn't really allow me to grip the weapon all that well. The shape also presses into the base of my thumb causing shooting pains up my arm.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Any ideas on how I can adjust the thumb to be more "functional"?

I"d recommend contacting Bokolo about it directly. He is known for having A++ customer service and doing whatever it takes to make the customer happy.

Thanks Paul!

I am in touch with Bokalo to see what can be done.

My first full gauntlets were Bokolo Cat's Ass. Before I could even strap them up, one of my Housemates took them, clipped the rivets holding the thumbs, rotated the thumb a bit and drilled a new hole. Riveted them back on through the new hole and they fit great. I can't remember if he drilled the new hole through the thumb or through the hand part.
It's a place to start.

I loved my Bokolos. I recommend them to everyone.

Even after I upgraded to Grettir the Slow's Atomic Powered +5 Gauntlets of Planet Crushing.

Could you snap a picture?
May help to see where the new articulation points are.

I have the same problem with my finger mittens and some suggestions were to have only the ring and middle finger stitched to the gauntlet to allow a better grip. I posted a thread about it maybe 2 months ago?
