Originally sold by Museum Replicas Limited / Windlass :
Their original description: There are examples of this type of Great Helm in the Royal Armoury at Leeds and the Royal Scottish Museum in Edinburgh, as well as on many grave effigies throughout Europe. Normally worn over another helmet, this helm was in use from about 1350 forward.

Do you know what gauge the steel on the helmet is?

I'm not positive, but believe its 18 gauge.
A quick google check showed several other MRL Great Helms made around the same time as all being 18 gauge, but I can't find this particular helm listed.
