Greetings,
I am looking for sound documentation on the pattern and construction methods for a gambeson in late 13th century.
Harold, please do not reply.
I am not looking for a description, I have plenty of pictures off of the internet and what-not. I am not looking for a post on how to do it, etc.
I need the valid books that contains source material suitable for documentation in an A&S entry.
Sorry if this post seems blunt, I am at work and trying to make this fast.
I want to do the research and make as-near-period of a gambeson as possible, handstitched for NEXT years Kingdom A&S.(which I will then use for special occasions to fight in). I just need to know what books I can find out there that has good, sound, documentation.
If you know of any, please email me at
phoenixmusic_AT_aol.com (replace _AT_ with @)
thanks!
In Service,
Aidan
p.s. - my persona is late 13th century, 1288 - so this is more specifically the timeframe I am looking for. thanks.
