Historical Armour Marks

Can anyone tell me at what point in history did armourers start to stamp their work ?
Where can I find on the web decent pictures or photographs of these marks ?
Have all historical armour stamps been identified ?

There are marks on late 14th c. pieces - off the top of my head, that is the earliest I know of. Now, there aren't all that many pieces that survive from before that so it may just be an accident.

No, all armourer's marks are not identified.

I do not know of a good online resource for them, but there are pages in Ffoulkes 'The armourer and his craft' and many of the catalog type books show them - Churburg, Wallace, Vienna. There are at least 2 books of armourer's marks. I have one, Talbot has another - again, I don't remember the names off of the top of my head.
