...will be stockings. I have made a pair of wool stockings and tailored them nearly skin tight at the calf. If I can find those hand-woven worsted garters I made last year, I'll tie them below the knee. Let's see if they stay up under the mileage I put in at Pennsic.

My chausses work great but they tie to my braies and then get gartered unlike women’s hose, which I believe are just gartered correct? The kick ass thing about bias cut wool chausses is that they are skintight for me even at the ankle. I wear them when I fight too.

Part of the problem is that my family is that body type that can't bulk up muscle, they just get denser. What that means for this is that my calf mucles flex quite a bit and push my socks down. My leg will be constatly wiggling out of my stockings! I suspect a garter tight enough to stay on will interfere with my circulation. We'll see.
