Period horsemans Warhammer sources (x-post to R&A board)

Hello All,

Anyone have any sources online or otherwise for period warhammer descriptions, drawings, etc?

I have a head built and want to check how close it is to period. Also, want to see haft finishes/treatments.

Here are three pictures of my hammer. I hope the website is up and operating! Looks a bit rough but is not complete yet. What do you think? What period would it fit into the best? What country etc? How would you finish the haft? Comments or critiques welcome.
I am trying to get my hands on several books to start doing some of my own research but in the mean time I will tap into the great resource that is The Armour Archive
