I'll be there, and our Asgard will be hosting a spear tournament on Tuesday at 3PM. Come one come all. We should have a nice prize and there will be a LOT of fighting (bearpit style over a barrier). This is not a parade or show of pageantry, this is an opportunity to show the known world that you know how to handle a spear. All experience levels encouraged and loaner spears will be available if needed. In the past, this format has produced so very exiting fighting.

Since I will be unable to enter the tournament due to marshalling and hosting duties, I will place an advance request for people to save me a few pickups before or after the tournament as I find it very hard to be left out of what might be the largest tournament ever for my favorite weapon.

Hmmm .. well since we were unable to make the pre-reg dedline we'll most likely be doing the "whatever is available" camping. Got a few "old farts" that want to wander down with me. Jarl Reynard of Anst. might recognizes a couple of them. Fos, Llew, Garr., myself and a hand full of others might wander down along with a handfull off other Midrealmers (Earl Brannos and some of his kin ... etc.) It always seems to be alot of fun .. hope we can be of use!

I will be there! Gleann Abhann is starting to make it's big push toward Kingdom status, so it is an exciting time for us. I am really looking forward to marching with the Gleann Abhann Army this year, no matter what side we end up fighting on!

Plus I promised myself a pair of danish boots from Bohemond.

Marvin and I will be there with kids in tow - camping with the Barony of Small Gray Bear (on the right as you drive down the main road - look for the blue banners with the bear on them!)

I'll be mostly shopping and watching kids. I'm dedicated to making the Known World Women's Fighter Practice, even if I don't actually strap on the armor and throw a stick. Don't know what else I'll be doing - I pretty much just do what the kids want to do. If last year is any indication, I'll mostly be staying in camp spinning while the kids play Game Boy in their tents, with a few shopping trips thrown in for spice. :)

Marvin will be fighting - pretty much all day, every day. I don't ask many specifics, just that he come back to camp at the end of the day. Don't know what the heck we'll do next year when I'm fighting too.......

I'll be there, staying in the Atlantian Royal Cabin.

Sorry to say I will miss the spear tourney, that sounds like a lot of fun. Melisent, Rags and I will be in New Orleans for the first part of the week, arriving on site before the processional.

I know from reading the archives that there was a chivalry discussion at Gulf Wars in the past. Is that happening again this year?

I'll be there with my household, knight, man at arms, my squire brothers, camping with the Barony of the Steppes, Ansteorra. I hope that I get to meet up with a bunch of folks, your highnesses Gleann Abhann in particular. Know that your neighbor to the West is excited to see your evolution into what we know will be a Kingdom of Greatness. :)

I'll be there with my Lady. This'll be my second War, but my first Gulf Wars. I'll be camping with Asgard/Ornhalla, from Trimaris.

Well, we think so.

We will be holding court at the Barony of Axemoor's encampment, right across the way from Ansteorra, on Thursday evening. Other than that, you will definitely find me on the field. Look for all the red and black.

My lady and I are coming... Our shire (Mooneschadowe, Ansteorra) is bringing 31 people (about 15 fighters) to Gulf Wars, and it should be a fantabulous time. I'm with Broinnfinn in the "shopping at Bohemond's" category.

Sir Gaston, the spear tourney looks awesome (I was reading about it last night) especially the two-man format part of it. As a favor, can you bring your cool shield to it also, I'd like to get an up close look at it after seeing it last year....

Drax, if you're in Wolfstar, that mean you're up in Northern Ansteorra? Where? Have I met you?

My banner will be outside my tent

The fighting schedule is at: http://www.gulfwars.org/schedule.html. Full descriptions will be in the site booklet. I have a draft copy, and if you ask me for particulars, I can fill you in.

Have fun, guys! Word of advice -- take a shovel to dig a trench around your tent, and if possible camp on high ground. Last year my camping spot turned into a small lake.

But trenching takes so much away fron the Gulf War experience...

I'm not certain (yet) of the specific time that I will be at Gulf Wars. It should be early and sometime the first day.

I'll be camping with Gates Edge/Ansteorra too.. look at Iaen Mor's post above for more details. The guys were nice enough to let me camp with them. :)

I look forward to seeing and meeting more people from this forum. :)

I'll hang my banner outside my tent: white ferret holding 3 arrows on a blue background with an ermine border.

I'll be there with the Atlantians..last year when I registered they asked if I was day tripping...I thought that's an odd question, this is a war...but if they asked, a lot of people must be doing it.....hmmmm..so I've decided to wimp out and rent a hotel room this year..But I should be there from Thursday on.
