Mykaru, I've said it before...

That's still one of the prettiest kabuto I've ever seen made for the SCA.

And I still want that 16-plater someday. 8)

Bill,
Unless something catastrophic happens I'll finish the kote Wednesday or Thursday at the latest. Shoot me an e-mail so I can figure shipping. :D
BTW, if you're happy with them, maybe we can start talking about that ogekawa dou you've been hinting about. 8)

Very, very nice work....

Is it plastic? Steel? Leather? Rawhide? Is it bare to the elements, or does it have some sort of laminate/sealant over it? Is the cord silk, or cotton? All can affect the price. You could be selling to high, or too low. 8)

Sold to Asoph's squire it is. As to materials, sorry I've posted it before. 2mm steel bowl and shita-jikoro. 1mm 1050 highcarbon shikoro. powdercoated. The lace is polypropelyne (or some other non-natural material  ) It IS too low, but it was a prototype.

It's too bad it's sold, I would have been happy to 'display' it for you until it found a buyer.

Keep up the good work!

Mykaru,

What's the deal with this - do you still have this, or is it being re-sold by a gentle who has alreay bought it from you?

If you still have it, have you shown/ mentioned this to Tada? I'm sure Gustav has one already, but Tada is probably in the market for a kabuto.

Corinthian, I hope? Don't order from Armorworks - I'm out $355 + shipping. Seen some beauts around recently, though, from other, more reputable armorers. Yeah, there's not much better that a good Corinthian.:D Been to the Ancient Age board yet?

Well, Tada-dono seems to be out of the running for this kabuto, but Sir Guy was looking for one, too, I believe. Will alert him & keep it in mind for others.

What's the condition of the helm? Any wear or tear? This does have a buckle-on men to make it SCA list-legal, right?

The condition is the same as the pictures above accept I removed the plates off the helmet and took the blue lace off to lace a different color. I did not get around to relacing it so I have the plates. I never fought in it so its in great shape. It has a bar grill and a BEAUTIFUL mempo. The mempo does not connect, but could have bar welded to it or worn under the grill.

Hey - is this still available?
Sir Guy will pay $450 for it if it can be sent soon.
